The Inauguration of Comact’s Mirabel Facilities: Thoroughly Successful!
Mirabel, QC, December 10 2015 – Comact, North America’s leading sawmill equipment manufacturer, hosted the grand opening of its facilities in Mirabel on Thursday, December 03rd. The event attracted over 200 people, including several clients and business partners. “We are extremely proud to welcome our clients and business partners to our all-new facilities today. This is the perfect opportunity for them to meet our team and see the dynamic environment in which they work. This building was designed to reflect our cutting-edge technology as well as our highly-qualified personnel”, states Stéphane Desjardins, Vice-President for Optimization.
For this occasion, Mr. Brian Fehr, Chairman and Managing director of the BID Group, and Mr. Alistair Cook, President and Chief Executive Officer of the BID Group, spoke to their guests to underscore the importance of this investment, which reflects the company’s commitment to its industry and clientele. “As an industry leader, we wanted to offer our clients an experience at the height of the quality of our products and services”, declares Mr. Fehr. Messrs. Fehr and Cook also seized the opportunity to break the news about the acquisition of WaneShear Technologies, LLC and thereby the integration of Ron McGehee and his talented team to the BID Group.
During the grand opening, Comact clients and partners were invited to take part in a guided tour of these world-class facilities in Mirabel and to share with members of Comact and BID Group’s management who were on hand for the occasion. Technical seminars, concerning the company’s latest developments in regards to products and services, were offered in the afternoon. “Our technical experts have done outstanding team work in organizing worthwhile workshops for our clients”, relates Mr. Desjardins. “The countless positive comments we’ve received from our clients allow us to say, Mission accomplished! This event has been thoroughly successful.”
The new workplace provides a dedicated space for testing as well as training for the company’s clients in addition to enabling better customer service and the optimization of working methods. The new offices will house over 110 people in state-of-the-art spaces. The Optimization services, the after-sales service team and calling center as well as the administrative staff will work from there. “With these new developments, our working environment will be better suited for the preparation of equipment and it will facilitate teamwork, inducing change in our methods of work and, ultimately, will be a great added-value for our customers. Furthermore, our new area fully dedicated to customer tests will allow them to validate the potential of our products in a comfortable, realistic and safe environment” says Stéphane Desjardins, Vice President – Optimization.
