Responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading new and existing workstations, laptops, and phones for employees
  • Analyzing and solving hardware and software problems on different technology platforms
  • Identifying and escalating situations requiring urgent action
  • Receiving requests (incidents, requests for change or for information) by telephone, internet, or e-mail
  • Assisting users in identifying the problem, running initial diagnostics, and suggesting workarounds if the incident can’t be resolved at the first level
  • Working with the IT ticketing system, classifying, prioritizing, and/or processing requests and incidents to others
  • Solving various incidents using pre-established procedures
  • Tracking queries with team and users
  • Managing the software, hardware, and telephone inventory available to users
  • Developing, collating, drafting, disseminating, and maintaining technical documentation, references, and procedures
  • Participating in the evolution of working procedures and the processing of incident management as well as any project where this expertise is required

Training and Skill Set:

  • Diploma of college studies in computer science or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Be methodical
  • Have the ability to analyze and diagnose software and hardware problems
  • Be skilled and quick to research in textbooks and internet to find solutions
  • Be skilled at communicating solutions and assisting different levels of users, be a good communicator
  • Love contact with people and have a professional attitude
  • Have a good knowledge of Microsoft productivity software (Office/Office 365, Project, Sharepoint, etc.)
  • Have a good knowledge of Lenovo technologies
  • Travel for short periods of time, be able to obtain a valid passport if necessary.
