Our History
Our original construction company was founded in 1983 by Brian, Ike and David Fehr. Hard work, dedication and expertise has resulted in continued growth for almost 25 years.
On-site construction work is now handled by one of two companies – BID Construction Ltd. (registered in British Columbia) and Nechako Construction Ltd. (registered in Alberta). Both companies share the same ownership and combine to serve the entire Pacific Northwest. BID earned its stripes in the sawmill industry, and has since branched into Energy Systems, OSB, Oil & Gas, and Mining over the past two decades. BID is still the leader in industrial construction and maintenance in the Pacific Northwest: Always On Time, Always On Budget.
Our Divisions
The BID Group has grown to include over 70,000 square feet of fabrication space, two complete machine shops, extensive equipment rentals, and pipe spooling & pressure vessel facilities.

The BID Group is available for projects anywhere in North America. Recent projects have ranged throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Yukon, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California and Russia. Further operations have been carried out in Uruguay and Costa Rica.
