The BID Group is owned by founders Brian and David Fehr, in partnership with Robert Derksen and Barrie Topper. BID will always be a private company with an honest, hardworking attitude. We are comitted to the safety and development of our employees, and the integrity of our business relationships.

Brian founded BID with his father Ike and brother David in 1983. Brian’s vision and strategic management have helped build the BID Group to where it is today.

As co-founder of BID Construction, David has worked hard to continue the company’s growth. David has supervised the construction and operation of several sawmills and energy systems. David provides leadership for operational excellence in the day to day management of the BID Group’s assets, and vision for the future.

Bob Derksen
Vice President of Sales
Bob is largely responsible for our field construction crews and the biggest of our construction projects. Bob has a lifetime of experience in construction and project management, and is currently the BID Group’s Vice President of Sales. Bob has helped to refine and enhance our construction capabilities.

Barrie Topper
Chief Financial Officer
Barrie Topper has been active for the past 30 years in financial management for construction-based corporate groups (Goodbrand Group- 5 years, Kerkhoff Group- 11 years, BID Group- 14 years), and takes a hands on approach to cash control, financial reporting, costs analysis, staff supervision, insurance & banking issues, etc.
