The BID Group of Companies is developing an international flavour. Nechako Mechanical’s Vanderhoof division and DelTech Manufacturing Inc. were contracted by ViTech Engineering Inc. to fabricate the components of a Laminated Veneer Lumber Plant. This is routine business for the BID Group of companies – the exciting part is that the LVL plant is being assembled in Torzhok, Russia.
Equipment fabricated includes log ponds, forwarders, jack ladders, Roto-Loaders, structural steel, and the general equipment needed to make the plant operational. Equipment was loaded into sea containers and shipped via CN Rail to the port of Montreal. In Montreal containers were loaded onto ocean vessels destined for Russia.
ViTech Engineering is based out of Vancouver, BC, and has been actively pursuing construction opportunities in the rapidly growing Russian market. The BID Group has worked in the Canadian industry for over 30 years, and is proud to participate in the export of trusted Canadian technology.
