Finger Joint

An Engineered Wood Product

Finger jointed lumber is engineered to be stronger and straighter than its solid wood counterpart. Short pieces of kiln dried, heat treated blocks are defect chopped and ripped and are then used in the finger joint manufacture process. Finger jointed lumber can be produced in many different lengths specific to customer and market requirements thereby saving time and money for the builder at the job site.
Heat Resistant Adhesive(HRA)

Uneeda Wood Products has proactively responded to the upcoming changes in the multi-level building code requirements for more heat and fire resistant building products. ALL finger jointed lumber at Uneeda Wood Products is produced using a heat resistant adhesive.

PRODUCTS

* SPS-1 Structural Finger joint Lumber (2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 2x10, up to 3')
* SPS-2 MSR Lumber (certified DFIR dimensions)
* SPS-3 Finger jointed lumber for stud application

Operations

Uneeda operates a short-block finger joint line and a long-length finger joint line which together can produce 70 million board feet of finger-jointed lumber annually.
